CareCoin was launched in early 2022 as a hyper-deflationary BEP-20 token with the stated mission of bringing the power of blockchain technology to humanitarian causes. The project's roadmap included developing a native "Care-Wallet" for secure crypto storage, a "Care-Verse" metaverse, and a system where a percentage of every transaction was allocated to a charity wallet. Despite initial marketing and community building, the project's token value collapsed dramatically in mid-2022 amidst widespread community accusations of a "rug pull." According to data aggregator CoinMarketCap, the project has since been rebranded to "We Care."
