Boxer began as an independent company, Boxer, Inc., focused on creating a faster, smarter mobile email client. In October 2015, the company was acquired by VMware to enhance its enterprise mobility management (EMM) offerings. Today, VMware Workspace ONE Boxer is a core component of the Workspace ONE platform, providing enterprise-grade security for personal information management (PIM) on mobile devices. It offers a consumer-simple user experience while giving IT departments the corporate data security and management controls they require.
