Zabo

Founded in 2018 and based in Dallas, Texas, Zabo's mission was to build the financial infrastructure for the open-source, decentralized future of finance. The company developed a data aggregation platform that allowed fintechs and financial services companies to connect with their users' crypto accounts using a single, unified API. This enabled applications to view balances, transaction histories, and crypto holdings across thousands of different exchanges and wallets, similar to what Plaid provides for traditional bank accounts. In August 2021, Zabo was acquired by Coinbase, with the Zabo team joining Coinbase to continue their work on integrating cryptocurrencies into the broader financial ecosystem.
