UAV – Union Atlantic Ventures- was founded by Joseph Studholme in 2000 to implement quantitative investment research based on work done at Princeton University. The firm came to understand that commercialization of breakthroughs from scientific research required thoughtful guidance through perilous markets to achieve the commercial success necessary to solve significant global problems. UAV’s practice consists of active investment in a small number of research-based business which have high potential for commercial success and which address significant global problems in health, climate, and financial markets.
