t3rn is a blockchain-based smart contract hosting platform designed to address the challenge of interoperability between disparate blockchains. Its mission is to provide a "trustless, interoperable future" by allowing developers to create and deploy smart contracts that can be executed across multiple chains seamlessly and securely. The protocol focuses on fail-safe execution, ensuring that cross-chain transactions either complete successfully across all participating networks or are fully reverted, preventing the loss of funds. Originally built on Substrate for the Polkadot ecosystem, t3rn aims to serve as a fundamental infrastructure layer for the next generation of cross-chain decentralized applications. The project is developed by the t3rn Foundation, based in Switzerland.
