LAPF Pensions Fund

LAPF Pensions Fund was established to manage the pension schemes for employees of Local Government Authorities in Tanzania. Its mission was to provide social security services, including retirement, survivor, invalidity, and health benefits to its members. In 2018, following the enactment of the Public Service Social Security Act, LAPF was merged with three other pension funds (PSPF, GEPF, and PPF) to form a new, single entity called the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF). PSSSF now carries on the mandate of providing social security coverage to all employees in the public sector in Tanzania.
