Founded in 2013, Kredietunie Nederland operates as a cooperative credit union. Its mission is to connect experienced entrepreneurs, who act as investing members, with other SME entrepreneurs seeking funding and mentorship. The model is based on "for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs," where investing members provide not only capital but also their knowledge and network to help borrowing companies grow. This structure provides an alternative financing solution for Dutch SMEs outside of traditional banking.
