Galois Capital

Founded by Kevin Zhou, Galois Capital was a prominent quantitative crypto hedge fund known for its algorithmic and discretionary trading strategies. The firm gained a strong reputation in the digital asset space for its sophisticated approach to market-making and arbitrage. However, in November 2022, the fund revealed it had substantial exposure to the failing cryptocurrency exchange FTX, with reports indicating nearly half of its capital was stuck on the platform. Following the collapse of FTX, Galois Capital halted all trading and, in February 2023, officially announced it was shutting down, selling its bankruptcy claim, and returning the remaining funds to its investors.
