FlashSpread is a patented technology service now part of the BeSmartee digital mortgage platform. Originally an independent company, FlashSpread was acquired by BeSmartee in 2021 to enhance its lending automation capabilities. The service uses artificial intelligence and optical character recognition (OCR) to instantly extract, "spread" (organize), and analyze financial data from complex tax documents. This significantly reduces the time and potential for human error in the commercial loan underwriting process, allowing lenders to make faster and more accurate credit decisions.
