FirstCash Holdings, Inc. is a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: FCFS) and the world's largest pawnshop operator. The company focuses on serving unbanked and underbanked consumers through its extensive network of retail pawn locations in the United States and Latin America. Its primary business involves making small, non-recourse loans secured by personal property (pawn loans) and selling a wide variety of pre-owned retail merchandise acquired through pawn forfeitures and direct purchases from customers. The current company was formed through the 2016 merger of FirstCash and Cash America International, Inc., combining two of the largest players in the industry.
