Ficto

Ficto was a venture-backed technology and entertainment company that launched as a free, ad-supported streaming service for mobile devices. Its mission was to provide a "next-generation" viewing experience with short-form, premium content, much of which included interactive elements like choice-based narratives and audience participation. Founded by Mike Esola, the company aimed to attract Gen Z viewers with its mobile-centric and interactive format. Despite raising capital and launching its app, Ficto ceased operations in mid-2021, and its assets were reportedly acquired by Slinger.
