European Payments Council (EPC)

Founded in 2002, the European Payments Council (EPC) is an international not-for-profit association that serves as the coordination and decision-making body for the European payments sector. Its primary mission is to support and promote the development of an integrated European payments market, with its main task being the management and evolution of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) payment schemes. The EPC works to deliver a safe, reliable, efficient, convenient, economically balanced, and sustainable payments environment for the benefit of European payment service users and providers.
