Credit Guarantee Corporation of Cambodia (CGCC)

Credit Guarantee Corporation of Cambodia (CGCC) is Cambodia's first and only credit guarantee institution, established as a state-owned enterprise under the technical and financial guidance of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Officially launched in March 2021, its primary mission is to enhance financial inclusion and support economic development by providing credit guarantees to Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs). By sharing the credit risk with lenders, CGCC encourages banks and microfinance institutions to increase lending to viable businesses, especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), that may lack sufficient collateral, thereby improving their access to formal financing.
