Founded in 1801 by Zenas Crane in Dalton, Massachusetts, Crane & Co. is one of America's oldest and most respected paper companies. It is renowned for its high-quality stationery made from 100% cotton fiber, making it a popular choice for social correspondence, wedding invitations, and business communications. Historically, the company has also been the exclusive supplier of paper for United States currency. While the currency division (Crane Currency) is now part of a separate entity, the stationery brand continues its legacy of craftsmanship and elegance. In 2020, the Crane Stationery business was acquired by Mohawk Fine Papers Inc., which continues to operate the brand.
