Cooptenjo

Founded in 1996 in Tenejapa, Chiapas, Cooptenjo is a savings and credit cooperative created to serve the indigenous Tseltal communities. Its mission is to promote a culture of savings, provide fair and accessible credit, and contribute to the socio-economic development of its members and their communities. As a legally constituted and regulated financial entity, it offers various products, including savings accounts, term deposits, personal loans, and business loans, all tailored to the needs of the local population.
