Founded in 1980, CompuPay, Inc. established itself as a significant provider of payroll and HR solutions across the United States. The company specialized in serving small to mid-sized businesses with a comprehensive suite of services, including payroll processing, tax compliance and filing, time and attendance systems, and HR support. In a strategic move in 2012, CompuPay was acquired by BenefitMall, a larger provider of employee benefits and payroll services. This integration was short-lived as an independent brand, as BenefitMall, including the former CompuPay assets, was subsequently acquired by industry giant Paychex in 2022. Today, former CompuPay clients and services are integrated into the Paychex platform.
