Founded in 1889 in Quincy, Massachusetts, Colonial Federal Savings Bank operated as a depositor-owned mutual savings bank for over 130 years. The bank was dedicated to providing a full range of personal and business banking services, including checking and savings accounts, mortgages, and various consumer and commercial loans, with a strong emphasis on personalized customer service and community involvement. In November 2023, Colonial Federal Savings Bank was officially acquired by and merged into Rockland Trust Company, with its former branches and customers now operating under the Rockland Trust brand.
