Founded in 2017, CoinBene was a global cryptocurrency exchange that once claimed to be among the top platforms by trading volume. It provided a range of digital asset services, including spot trading, perpetual contracts (futures), and over-the-counter (OTC) services to a global user base. The platform aimed to offer a secure, stable, and reliable trading environment. However, following a significant alleged hack in 2019, the exchange's reputation suffered. In mid-2022, the platform abruptly halted withdrawals, citing a prolonged system upgrade, before its website and all services went offline permanently, leading to widespread belief that the company had collapsed or performed an exit scam.
