Founded on December 14th, 1946, CLICO Credit Union was originally established to serve the employees of the Colonial Life Insurance Company (CLICO) and its subsidiaries. It has since grown into a significant member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative in Trinidad and Tobago. Despite the widely publicized collapse of the related CLICO insurance company, the credit union operates as a separate legal entity. Its mission is to be a leading customer-centric financial institution by providing superior returns and innovative financial solutions, including savings plans, loans, and fixed deposits, to its membership.
