Clean Energy Improvement Program

The Clean Energy Improvement Program is not a standalone company but rather a government-supported financing program administered by Alberta Municipalities in partnership with local municipal governments. Based on the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) model, CEIP allows residential and commercial property owners to finance up to 100% of their energy-saving projects. The financing is repaid through a special assessment added to the property's regular tax bill, making it an accessible way to invest in upgrades like solar panels, high-efficiency windows, and improved insulation without large upfront costs. The program's mission is to stimulate local economies, create jobs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by making clean energy upgrades more affordable for Albertans.
