Clara Lending

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in San Francisco, Clara Lending, Inc. was a venture-backed digital mortgage lender. The company's mission was to make the process of getting a home loan faster, more transparent, and less stressful by leveraging technology and data. Clara built a proprietary software platform to streamline the application, underwriting, and closing processes for both new home purchases and refinancing. In February 2022, the company, including its technology and team, was acquired by the personal finance company SoFi to bolster its own mortgage lending division, SoFi Home Loans.
