Christians Against Poverty

Founded in 1996 by John Kirkby in Bradford, England, Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a national charity dedicated to releasing people from poverty through debt counselling, money management education, and job support. Operating through a network of local churches, CAP provides a free, in-depth debt help service that includes negotiating with creditors and creating manageable budgets, often supporting clients until they become debt-free. Their services also include CAP Money Courses to teach budgeting skills and CAP Job Clubs to help people find employment, all underpinned by their Christian faith and values.
