Founded in 2018 by Ham Serunjogi and Maijid Moujaled, Chipper (commonly known as Chipper Cash) is a venture-backed fintech company with a mission to "unlock global opportunities and connect Africa, one transaction at a time." The company began by offering a mobile-based, peer-to-peer (P2P) platform for instant, no-fee cross-border money transfers in Africa. It has since expanded its services to include bill payments, purchasing airtime, and offering cryptocurrency and US stock investing in select markets. Chipper aims to increase financial inclusion and facilitate seamless money movement across the African continent and globally.
