It purported to be an investment management firm, often contacting individuals unsolicitedly to offer high-return investment opportunities in stocks and other financial products. Investigations by authorities revealed it was operating without the necessary licenses and was identified as a "clone firm," meaning it used details of legitimate, registered companies to appear credible. Its primary operation was to defraud investors.
