Central Depository Company of Pakistan

Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC) is the sole entity handling the electronic (dematerialized) settlement of securities in Pakistan's capital market. Incorporated in 1993 and becoming operational in 1997, its mission is to provide a secure, efficient, and convenient custody and settlement system for investors and market participants. Regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), CDC has been pivotal in modernizing the country's financial infrastructure by replacing physical share certificates with an electronic book-entry system, thereby reducing risks and enhancing transparency.
