Center For Community Self-Help

Founded in 1980, the Center for Community Self-Help (Self-Help) is a leading national community development financial institution (CDFI). Its mission is to create and protect ownership and economic opportunity for underserved communities, particularly for people of color, women, rural residents, and low-wealth families and communities. Self-Help achieves this by providing fair and affordable financial services through its credit unions (Self-Help Credit Union and Self-Help Federal Credit Union), developing responsible real estate, and advocating for economic equity and stronger communities.
