Centenary Bank Limited

Founded in 1983 as a credit trust initiative by the Uganda National Lay Apostolate, Centenary Rural Development Bank Ltd became a fully-fledged commercial bank in 1993. It is a leading commercial microfinance bank in Uganda, with a mission to provide appropriate financial services, especially microfinance, to all people in Uganda, particularly in rural areas. The bank is owned by the Catholic Church dioceses of Uganda, the Uganda Catholic Secretariat, and several international investors. It has grown to become one of the country's largest banks by customer base, focusing on financial inclusion for underserved populations through a wide network of branches and digital channels.
