Founded in 2005, CEDS Finance operates as a Community Development Finance Institution with a mission to support enterprise, create jobs, and build a more prosperous local economy. It functions as a "gap-funder," providing responsible and affordable loans to viable businesses, both startups and established companies, that have been refused finance by traditional lenders like banks. As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus generated is reinvested back into the community to further its social objectives.
