Cautionnement romand is a brand of the cooperative society "Cautions-solidaires, société coopérative," founded in 2006. The company's primary business is to provide rental guarantees (surety bonds) as an alternative to the traditional bank deposit required when renting a property. This service is designed to help tenants, particularly in the French-speaking part of Switzerland (Suisse romande), by freeing up the significant funds that would otherwise be blocked in a bank account for the duration of their lease.
