Founded in 2020 by Yele Bademosi and backed by Binance, Bundle Africa aimed to make cryptocurrency accessible and useful for everyday transactions across Africa. The platform allowed users to easily buy, sell, send, and store various cryptocurrencies (like BTC, ETH, BUSD) and local fiat currencies (such as the Nigerian Naira). It combined crypto exchange features with a user-friendly, social payment interface. In July 2023, the company announced it was ceasing its exchange operations, citing regulatory challenges and a need to restructure its business toward P2P payments.
