Launched in March 2012 by BSE Limited (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange), the BSE SME platform is a premier marketplace for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in India. Its mission is to provide a regulated and efficient ecosystem for credible SMEs to raise capital through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and gain visibility. The platform facilitates listing, trading, and capital formation, thereby supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth by connecting emerging companies with a wide base of investors. It operates under the rules and regulations set by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
