Founded in 2009 by Patrick Ambron, Pete Kistler, and Evan McGowan-Watson, BrandYourself pioneered DIY tools for online reputation management, allowing users to improve their own Google search results. The company's mission was to make reputation management accessible and affordable for everyone. They offered a combination of software that guided users through the process and managed services where their in-house experts handled the work. In 2021, BrandYourself was acquired by ReputationDefender, a major player in the same industry, and its services have since been integrated into ReputationDefender's offerings.
