BlueKite

Founded in 2012, BlueKite was a financial technology company that developed a payment platform focused on solving the challenge of online transactions in emerging economies. Its mission was to connect global e-commerce merchants with billions of consumers who lacked traditional credit cards or bank accounts. The service allowed customers to pay for online goods and services using alternative methods, including cash, at a network of physical top-up locations. In October 2016, BlueKite was acquired by the global payment company Payoneer, which integrated BlueKite's technology and network to enhance its own cross-border payment capabilities.
