Founded in 2020, Blockcap quickly established itself as one of the largest industrial-scale Bitcoin mining operators in North America. The company focused on acquiring and deploying vast fleets of cryptocurrency mining hardware to secure the Bitcoin network and generate digital assets. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Blockcap's mission was to become a leading infrastructure provider for the blockchain ecosystem. In July 2021, Blockcap was acquired by its competitor, Core Scientific, in an all-stock merger, and its assets and operations were fully integrated into the Core Scientific platform.
