Blackmoon Financial Group

Founded in 2014 by Oleg Seydak and Ilya Perekopsky, Blackmoon Financial Group initially started as a marketplace for alternative lending. In 2017, the company pivoted to focus on blockchain technology, launching an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) that raised approximately $30 million to build a platform for creating and managing legally compliant tokenized investment funds. The platform aimed to bridge the gap between the traditional financial and crypto markets by enabling the creation of digital tokens representing real-world assets. However, facing significant regulatory challenges, including an SEC order regarding its ICO, the company announced it was ceasing all operations in early 2020.
