BittWatt was established as a platform to decentralize and innovate the energy sector. Its mission was to create a transparent and efficient marketplace by directly connecting electricity consumers with producers using blockchain technology and smart contracts. The platform aimed to simplify energy procurement, balance supply and demand, and facilitate billing and payment through its native BWT token, which was initially distributed via an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2018. The project intended to serve as a standardized system for the global energy market.
