Founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2007, Bay Equity Home Loans grew into a prominent family-owned and operated mortgage lender. The company focused on providing a wide range of residential mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans, with a mission to deliver a transparent and streamlined lending experience. In April 2022, Bay Equity was acquired by Redfin and rebranded as "Bay Equity Home Loans, a Redfin Company." However, due to challenging market conditions, Redfin announced the closure of its mortgage and title businesses, and Bay Equity officially ceased its lending operations in May 2024.
