Banco do Empreendedor

Founded in 1998, Banco do Empreendedor is a private, non-profit Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP) and the largest microcredit operator in Southern Brazil. Its mission is to foster economic and social development by providing financial services and guidance to formal and informal micro and small entrepreneurs, helping them grow their businesses and generate income. It operates as a "Sociedade de Crédito ao Microempreendedor e à Empresa de Pequeno Porte" under the supervision of the Central Bank of Brazil.
