Banc One Wholesale

Banc One Wholesale operated as a major division of Bank One Corporation, one of the largest bank holding companies in the United States prior to 2004. The company's primary business was wholesale mortgage lending, providing funding and services to a nationwide network of independent mortgage brokers, correspondents, and other financial institutions. It focused exclusively on the business-to-business channel, not lending directly to consumers. Following the landmark merger where JPMorgan Chase & Co. acquired Bank One Corporation in 2004, the operations and portfolio of Banc One Wholesale were absorbed and integrated into the mortgage banking business of the newly formed entity.
