Banc One Mortgage

Banc One Mortgage operated as the primary mortgage origination and servicing arm of Banc One Corporation, which was one of the largest bank holding companies in the United States. Headquartered primarily in the Midwest, the corporation had a long history dating back to its predecessors in the 19th century. Banc One Mortgage provided a wide range of home loan products to consumers across the United States. In a landmark deal announced in 2004, JPMorgan Chase & Co. acquired Banc One Corporation for approximately $58 billion. Following the merger, all of Banc One's operations, including its mortgage division, were integrated into JPMorgan Chase, and the "Banc One" brand was phased out.
