Baines & Ernst

Founded in 1996, Baines & Ernst grew to become one of the UK's largest debt management companies. Its primary mission was to help individuals find manageable solutions to their financial difficulties by offering services such as Debt Management Plans (DMPs), Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs), and general debt advice. However, the company faced significant scrutiny over the quality and suitability of its advice, leading to a high volume of complaints. In November 2016, following numerous upheld complaints by the Financial Ombudsman Service, the company ceased trading and was placed into administration.
