Founded in 1978, Autofinanciera is a pioneer of the "Autofinanciamiento" system in Mexico. This business model is a collective purchasing system where groups of individuals make monthly contributions to a common fund, which is then used to purchase assets (primarily cars and later, houses) for the members of the group through scheduled allotments or bidding. The company's mission is to provide an accessible and planned pathway for Mexican families to acquire significant assets without the requirements of a traditional bank loan, such as a credit history or a large down payment.
