Authereum

Authereum was a technology company that developed a non-custodial, smart contract-based wallet designed to simplify user onboarding and interaction with the Ethereum blockchain. Its mission was to address key user experience hurdles in Web3, such as complex seed phrases, gas fees, and transaction management, by offering features like fee abstraction and batched transactions. In August 2021, Authereum was acquired by Coinbase, and its team was integrated into the Coinbase Wallet division. Following the acquisition, the standalone Authereum service was shut down.
