Australian Payments Network (AusPayNet)

AusPayNet is the central coordinating body for the Australian payments industry, responsible for promoting a safe, reliable, and competitive payments system. Established in 1992 as the Australian Payments Clearing Association (APCA), its role is to manage and develop regulations, procedures, and standards for payments clearing and settlement within Australia. The organization works with financial institutions, regulators, and other stakeholders to drive innovation, efficiency, and security across various payment systems, including BECS (direct entry), cheques, high-value payments, and aspects of card payments.
