Founded originally as Pell, Rudman & Co. in 1982, the firm became Atlantic Trust in 2001 and was later acquired by Invesco in 2004. As a leading private wealth management firm, its mission was to offer comprehensive and customized investment management, financial planning, and trust services to a clientele of high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations, and endowments. In 2013, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) acquired the company from Invesco, and it has since been fully integrated and rebranded into CIBC's US wealth management arm, known as CIBC Private Wealth.
