AmTech was known for its high-quality, independent insights. In June 2008, the company was acquired by Broadpoint Securities Group, which later rebranded as Gleacher & Company. Gleacher & Company subsequently ceased operations and its assets were liquidated, meaning American Technology Research, Inc. no longer exists as an operational entity.
