Founded in May 2000, Ahli United Bank B.S.C. (AUB) is a comprehensive banking group headquartered in Manama, Bahrain. It operates as a full-service commercial and investment bank, providing wealth management, retail, corporate, treasury, offshore, and private banking services. The bank has established a significant presence across the MENA region with subsidiary banks in Kuwait, Egypt, Iraq, and the UAE, as well as a UK subsidiary. In 2022, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) completed its acquisition of Ahli United Bank, creating one of the largest Islamic banking entities in the world, though AUB continues to operate under its established brand in its respective markets.
