Founded in 2009, African Financial Bureau (afb) was a financial services company with a mission to provide inclusive and accessible credit solutions in Africa. The company focused on delivering unsecured personal loans and other credit products to both formally employed individuals and small to micro-entrepreneurs. It operated with a technology-driven model to ensure efficient loan processing and customer service. Over the years, afb expanded its operations into countries like Ghana, Kenya, Zambia, and Tanzania. In 2017, the company was fully acquired by Letshego Holdings Limited, a Botswana-based inclusive finance group, and subsequently, all afb operations were rebranded under the Letshego name.
