Aeldra was a U.S.-based neobank founded to provide global citizens, with a primary focus on customers from India, access to U.S. banking services. The company offered FDIC-insured checking accounts, a Mastercard debit card, and investment capabilities through its partnership with a U.S.-based regulated bank, Blue Ridge Bank, N.A. Aeldra's mission was to enable seamless cross-border banking for professionals, students, and investors living outside the United States. However, following significant regulatory scrutiny of its partner bank, Aeldra announced it was ceasing all operations as of March 31, 2023, and transitioned its customers' accounts directly to Blue Ridge Bank.
