ADVA

Originally founded in 1994 in Germany, ADVA Optical Networking became a leading provider of optical networking solutions, specializing in Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) and Carrier Ethernet technologies. The company focused on developing equipment that helps telecommunication service providers and large enterprises to build and scale their network infrastructure. In July 2022, ADVA was acquired by the US-based company Adtran, creating a comprehensive, global provider of end-to-end fiber networking solutions, from the access and metro networks to long-haul optical transport. The combined entity, operating under the Adtran brand, aims to deliver a wider range of open and scalable solutions for fiber-to-the-home, fiber-to-the-business, and 5G mobile networks.
